Dr. Shayla Walker is one of our dental primary care providers. She was born in Layton, Utah, into a military family. Growing up she moved around the US with her family and has lived in Utah, Colorado, and Fayetteville, NC. She graduated from the University of Utah with her Bachelor of Science in Biology. Dr. Walker then moved to Boston, MA to pursue her dental training where she graduated from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine. Upon completion of dental school, she moved to Chapel Hill, NC for a General Practice Residency at UNC.

Dr. Walker started working for Wells Family Dental Group in July 2020. She continuously stays up-to-date with the latest dental technology by taking continuing education courses on implants, root canals, CEREC crowns, dental prosthetics and esthetic dentistry. Her goal is to provide high quality dental care and keep her patients at ease in the dental chair at every visit.

Outside of the office, Dr. Walker enjoys spending time with her fiancé outdoors (hiking, kayaking, fishing, biking, running, etc). She loves exploring the various restaurants the RTP area has to offer, traveling, and photography.
