Brett Wells
DDS
Dr. Brett Wells attended Louisburg Rd.-Rolesville Middle School, only a few miles from his practice, and graduated from Ravenscroft School where he played baseball and football. Dr. Wells then moved to Wilmington, North Carolina and graduated magna cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington.
Dr. Wells went on to graduate from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Dental School with honors. He then attended a one year Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the University of Florida where he trained with some of the top surgeons and general dentists in Northeast Florida. He returned to Raleigh and began working with a large group practice and has now opened his own practice.
Outside the office, when Dr. Wells isn’t taking additional continuing education courses, he enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, fishing, traveling, and watching sports (especially the UNC Tarheels and his passion, the Carolina Panthers NFL team!).

Chris Steddum
DDS
Dr. Chris Steddum attended UNC-Chapel Hill as an undergraduate and completed his Doctor of Dental Medicine at the ECU School of Dental Medicine in 2016. Following dental school, Dr. Steddum completed his residency at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where he received formal training in oral surgery, implant placement, dental prosthetics, and the management of medically compromised patients.
Dr. Steddum earned his IV Sedation permit through advanced training at The Aristotle Institute and actively maintains his credentials through membership in the American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. In addition to his role in private practice, Dr. Steddum serves as a clinical instructor with Western Surgical & Sedation, where he teaches general dentists from around the country the surgical management of wisdom teeth. Dr. Steddum is dedicated to providing surgical procedures in a safe and comfortable environment at Wells Family Dental Group.

Briana Hudson
DDS
Dr. Briana Hudson migrated from Richmond, Virginia to North Carolina in 2009 to attend the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where she competed as a varsity track and field athlete. She taught high school chemistry and earth science before she went on to obtain her Doctor of Dental Medicine at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine.
During her pre-doctoral training, she remained heavily involved in extracurricular activities, serving on committees and executive leadership boards. Her most precious memories were serving as the President of the Dental Student Government, participating in free NCMOM Dental Clinics, and serving on a dental mission trip to the Dominican Republic. After dental school, she completed a 1-year Advanced Education in General Dentistry Residency with Distinction in rural Lillington, NC through ECU SoDM. There, she trained under seasoned specialists and developed advanced techniques in comprehensive and surgical dentistry, including dental implants, same-day crowns, and Invisalign treatment.
Outside of the office, Dr. Hudson is a “foodie” at heart and enjoys exercising and spending time with her friends and family. She is truly excited about dentistry each day and sincerely enjoys the opportunity to connect with her patients chairside!

Ellyse Julien-Dalton
DMD
Dr. Ellyse Julien-Dalton, aka Dr. JD, grew up in Apex, NC, and she chose to stay in North Carolina for college and dental school. Although she cherishes the time she spent in Chicago, Dr. JD always knew that she would return to North Carolina to practice dentistry near her hometown.
Dr. JD graduated from UNC-Chapel Hill with a BS in Psychology. During her time at UNC, Dr. JD had the opportunity to shadow several health care professions and discovered her passion for dentistry. Dr. JD received her Doctor of Dental Medicine at ECU School of Dental Medicine. After dental school, she completed a 1-year General Practice Residency at Jesse Brown Veteran Affairs Medical Center in Chicago, IL. During her residency, she received advanced training in prosthodontics, oral surgery, restorative dentistry, and hospital dentistry.
When she is not at the office, Dr. JD likes to spend her time searching for the best fries in the Triangle and working off that research on her Peloton. She is also a huge Harry Potter fan, enjoys standup comedy, loves binging reality TV, and cheering on the Tarheels. Dr. JD’s favorite part of dentistry is connecting with patients and she looks forward to helping you reach your oral health goals!

Vicki Houck
DMD
Dr. Vicki Houck grew up in Raleigh, NC and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill for Her undergraduate degree and dental school.
After dental school, she moved to Columbus, Ohio to complete an AEGD at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry and then the Endodontics residency a few years later.
Dr. Houck ran her own private endodontic practice for twenty-eight years in Westerville, Ohio until the pull of North Carolina proved to be too strong.
In her spare time, Dr. Houck enjoys spending time with her husband and family, cycling, nurturing her pets, and rediscovering all that the triangle offers.
